Watch: Democrats Unload on Supreme Court After Major Ruling on Americans’ Gun Rights

The Supreme Court of the United States on Thursday struck a blow for the Second Amendment in a major ruling that upheld Americans’ right to concealed carry firearms in a case from New York.

While the left-wing media launched a flood of angry reactions to the SCOTUS ruling, the Democratic Party’s leaders unloaded on the nation’s highest court and vowed to fight the ruling. Watch:

“Shocking, absolutely shocking,” New York Governor Kathy Hochul said. “This is New York. We don’t back down. We fight back.”

“While nothing changes today,” New York City Eric Adams said. “And we want to be clear on that. Nothing changes today. We have been preparing for this decision and will continue to do everything possible to work with our federal state and local partners to protect our city.”

“And we cannot allow New York to become the Wild Wild West,” Adams added.

“The fact that the court is coming down with its decision feels tone deaf, and I worry that it undermines the legitimacy of the courts,” Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot remarked on MSNBC.

“We, the president, myself, many of us are deeply concerned and troubled by the Supreme Court’s ruling today,” Vice President Kamala Harris said. “It, I believe, defies common sense and the constitution of the United States.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom took to Twitter to reveal his dismay about the Supreme Court ruling.

“A dark day in America,” Newsom wrote. “This is a dangerous decision from a court hell bent on pushing a radical ideological agenda and infringing on the rights of states to protect our citizens from being gunned down in our streets, schools, and churches.”

“Shameful,” he added.

It will be interesting to see if the governor maintains his respect for State’s Rights when the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade is delivered, which may come as soon as tomorrow.
